let me just say...

Baby can cook! I would like to take a teaspoon of arrogance and say that I can definitely mix it up in the kitchen. The past 2 years or so I have really been trying to brush up on my culinary skills. Nothing over the top but I like to dabble in some cooking. I can't get enough of the foodnetwork (I worked the overnight shifts so this was the only thing that was decent on television. Paula Deen, and yes it is spelled D-E-E-N, saved me many nights). I like Paula since she has the same future name as yours truly...only spelled D-E-A-N if you must know.

The Everyday Italian girl used to bother me...now I adore her. And they have a neat show that takes people into small towns and big cities to show Diners at their best. They actually came to K-town!!

Anywho, Andy wasn't feeling great so I whipped up some fresh chili (I hate beer but if you add it to the ground cooked beef...Yum Yum Yum) and made a milk chocolate bar cake. Sound delicious?? Trust me...it is! This is one of my family's favorite desserts that was actually introduced by a close friend of my mom so we call it "June" cake. It takes some time but when you can get in your car and run over Hershey candy bars to make the crumbles for the icing...I call that just plain fun. Neighbors may think you are crazy but it gets the job done. Above all, I got to break in my new fire red Kitchen-Aid stand mixer that was an early wedding gift...this device is heavenly.

Now I gotta think of some Halloween treats for the nephews.

Little Update:

-wedding planning much easier...NEEDING ADDRESSES!!!
-seems everyone is fighting some sort of allergy/sinus/cold....including myself.
-I get to go to a luncheon and hear Pat Summit speak (I think this is pretty awesome since public speaking was what I practically majored in...kinda).
-getting into slender shape (didn't need to lose much in the first place but extra room is always nice).
-I am loving the foodnetwork.
-I hate males who think it is appropriate to "cat call" on females (don't do it...but I don't think anyone who reads this is socially handicapped. I seriously want to yell explitives at them). This could be my #1 pet peeve.

Hey You GUUUUUUUUUUUUYSSSS!!

I have a confession...I just watched The Goonies for the first time in all of my 23 years of life. I almost feel like my childhood has been completed. Now I won't give people weird looks when they say "Hey, you guys" or mention the truffle shuffle. Andy made it a goal for me to finally sit down and watch the movie from start to finish. Pretty humorous.

Now I guess it is time for The Sandlot...
